Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 1 September 2026

1. Who We Are

When you purchase products on bonvale.de (our "Website") or through our app (our "App") as a customer in Germany, you are entering into a contract with:

Bonvale UK Limited (company number 17142585), a company incorporated in England and Wales, with its registered office at 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom ("Bonvale", "we", "us", "our").

Bonvale UK Limited is the seller and merchant of record for all products offered on our Website and App to customers in Germany. We are established outside the European Union. This does not affect the consumer rights you hold under German and European law, which apply in full because we direct our commercial activities to consumers in Germany (see Section 9).

Bonvale is a trademark of Bonvale Group Pte Ltd, used under licence.

2. Who Can Order From Us

To purchase from us, you must:

  • be at least 18 years of age;
  • be purchasing for personal, non-commercial use;
  • have a payment method that we accept; and
  • be authorised to use that payment method (it is in your name or you have the permission of the cardholder).

By placing an order, you confirm that all of the above applies to you. We reserve the right to decline orders where we reasonably believe these requirements are not met.

3. Placing an Order

When you place an order on our Website or App, you will receive an acknowledgement email. This email confirms only that we have received your order. It is not an acceptance and does not yet form a contract.

The contract between you and Bonvale is formed when we send you the dispatch confirmation by email. The language of the contract is German.

We reserve the right not to accept your order, for example where:

  • we are unable to obtain payment authorisation;
  • a product is out of stock or has been withdrawn from our range;
  • we identify a pricing error (see Section 5);
  • shipping restrictions apply to your delivery address; or
  • we have reasonable grounds to believe that fraudulent or unlawful activity is taking place.

If we are unable to accept your order, we will inform you as soon as possible and refund in full any amount already charged.

The goods remain our property until full payment has been received and delivery has been made (retention of title).

4. The Products

We sell clothing, accessories and beauty and personal care products (the "Products"). Product descriptions, images and details on our Website are provided in good faith, but we do not warrant that they are entirely accurate, complete or error-free. Minor colour variations between product images and the actual product may occur depending on your screen settings.

We reserve the right to withdraw any Product from sale at any time without notice.

5. Prices and Payment

5.1 Prices

All prices displayed on our Website and App for customers in Germany are shown in Euro (EUR) and include German VAT at 19%, unless otherwise stated at checkout. Any customs duties and import charges are calculated at checkout and are included in your order total.

Prices are subject to change at any time without notice. The price applicable to your order is the price displayed at the time your order is accepted, that is, at dispatch confirmation.

We take care to ensure pricing accuracy. In the event of a genuine pricing error, we will inform you as soon as possible and leave it to you to confirm the order at the correct price or to cancel it and receive a full refund. We are under no obligation to fulfil an order placed at an incorrect price.

5.2 Payment Methods

We accept the usual debit and credit cards, express checkouts such as Apple Pay and Google Pay, and the local payment methods and instalment options available in Germany. The payment methods available to you are shown at checkout.

The amount is debited as soon as your order is accepted (on dispatch). Card details are processed through a secure, encrypted payment gateway. We store card details only where you have saved them to your account; they are then held in encrypted form.

5.3 Payment Processing

Payments are processed directly by Bonvale UK Limited via our payment gateway. Your bank statement may show a payment to Bonvale UK Limited or to our payment processor (Shopify Payments).

6. Instalments and Deferred Payment

Where an instalment or deferred payment option is offered at checkout, that offer comes from an external credit provider and is subject to that provider's own terms, which are shown to you before you select it. By selecting it, you enter into a separate agreement with that provider.

Bonvale is not responsible for the products, services or terms of these providers. Any disputes regarding such payments must be settled directly with the relevant provider. Borrowing beyond your means or paying late may negatively affect your credit status.

7. Delivery

We aim to dispatch orders within one business day of acceptance. Orders placed after our daily cut-off, on a Sunday or on a public holiday at our outbound warehouse will go out on the next available business day. Estimated delivery times are shown at checkout and in your dispatch confirmation. These are estimates, not guaranteed dates.

Bonvale insures each shipment while it is in transit until it is delivered to the delivery address you have given. In accordance with § 475 (2) BGB, risk passes to you on handover.

We are not responsible for delays caused by customs clearance, postal disruptions, extreme weather or other events outside our control. If a significant delay is likely, we will contact you and offer you the option to cancel the order and receive a full refund.

If you have given the carrier specific delivery instructions, Bonvale is not liable for any loss or damage arising as a result.

If your order has not arrived, write to us at contact@bonvale.com within 30 days of the expected delivery date.

8. Returns and Refunds

8.1 Our Returns Policy

Subject to the exceptions set out below, we accept returns of unwanted items within 30 days of delivery, provided the item is returned in its original condition, unworn and unwashed, with all labels and the original packaging intact. We offer this 30-day policy voluntarily and in addition to your statutory right of withdrawal under Section 9.

To initiate a return, log in to your account on our Website or App and follow the returns process. We will provide you with a prepaid return label. Drop your parcel at the location shown on your label.

Return shipping costs. We will cover the cost of your first 2 change-of-mind returns within any rolling 30-day period. After this, we will deduct a flat return shipping fee from your refund. The current amount is set out in our Shipping and Returns policy on our Website. Because we disclose this fee to you before purchase, it also applies where you exercise your statutory right of withdrawal under Section 9. Where a return is made because an item is faulty or does not match its description, we will bear the cost of return shipping in full.

Refund options. When you register a return, you may choose between:

  • store credit, credited to your Bonvale account as soon as your return parcel is scanned by the carrier at drop-off (typically within a few hours); or
  • a refund to your original payment method, issued within 14 days of our receiving your return. Your bank may then take a further 3 to 10 business days.

We will not refund the original delivery charges unless the item is faulty, does not match its description, or you are exercising your statutory right of withdrawal under Section 9.

8.2 Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned or exchanged under our voluntary 30-day policy, unless they are faulty or do not match their description:

  • Items marked "non-returnable" at the time of purchase. If such an item is faulty or does not match its description, please contact us.
  • Underwear, intimate apparel, boxer shorts and socks, which are excluded from return for hygiene reasons where they have been unsealed after delivery.
  • Swimwear where the hygiene sticker or protective seal is no longer intact or where labels have been removed after delivery.
  • Beauty and personal care products whose hygiene seal has been opened, damaged or removed after delivery.
  • Pierced jewellery whose hygiene seal has been damaged or removed after delivery.
  • Store credit.

Your statutory rights are not affected. Rights and claims to which you are entitled under German consumer law are not excluded, limited or modified by this Section 8.2. In particular, the statutory right of withdrawal under Section 9 is excluded only for sealed goods which are not suitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons and which were unsealed after delivery (§ 312g (2) no. 3 BGB). If you receive a faulty or incorrectly described item, write to us at contact@bonvale.com.

8.3 Faulty or Incorrectly Supplied Items

If your order arrives faulty or you have received the wrong item, write to us at contact@bonvale.com as soon as possible after discovering the fault, with a description and a photograph. We will arrange collection or return at our cost and offer you subsequent performance, a price reduction or a refund, in accordance with your statutory rights (see Section 9). Where you are entitled to a refund for a faulty or incorrectly described item, it will be issued to your original payment method and will include the outbound delivery charges you paid.

8.4 Condition of Returned Items

All returned items are inspected on receipt. Items returned worn, used, washed, altered or otherwise not in their original condition will not be accepted for a change-of-mind refund under Section 8.1 and will be sent back to you at your cost.

Where you exercise your 14-day statutory right of withdrawal (see Section 9), we may only reduce your refund to reflect a diminished value resulting from handling the goods in a way that goes beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning (§ 357a (1) BGB). Trying on a garment is fine; wearing it out is not. We will not refuse the withdrawal and will not charge a restocking fee or an administration fee during this statutory period.

This Section 8.4 does not apply to faulty items; those are governed by Section 8.3 and your statutory rights under Section 9.

9. Your Consumer Rights

Bonvale complies with German consumer law. The following provisions describe statutory rights that supplement or modify the general terms of this document. Where German law confers rights that cannot be excluded or limited by contract, those rights prevail in the event of any inconsistency with these terms.

Right of Withdrawal: §§ 312g, 355 BGB

As a consumer, you have a statutory right of withdrawal. You may withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period is 14 days from the day on which you, or a third party nominated by you who is not the carrier, took possession of the goods. Where an order comprises several items delivered separately, the period begins when you take possession of the last item.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us (Bonvale UK Limited, 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom, contact@bonvale.com) by means of an unambiguous statement of your decision to withdraw from this contract. You may use the Model Withdrawal Form set out below, but it is not obligatory. To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal. If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of the supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earlier.

You must send back the goods or hand them over to us without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired.

You will bear the direct cost of returning the goods, that is, the flat return shipping fee set out in Section 8.1 and in our Shipping and Returns policy. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling them other than what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.

The right of withdrawal does not apply to sealed goods which are not suitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons where their seal has been removed after delivery (§ 312g (2) no. 3 BGB).

Statutory Warranty: §§ 434, 437, 438 BGB

The statutory warranty rights apply to all goods delivered by us. The goods must meet the subjective requirements, the objective requirements and the installation requirements of § 434 BGB.

  • The limitation period for claims in respect of defects is two years from delivery (§ 438 (1) no. 3 BGB).
  • If the goods are defective, you may first demand subsequent performance in the form of repair or replacement, the choice being yours. If subsequent performance fails, is refused or is unreasonable, you may, subject to the statutory conditions, withdraw from the contract, reduce the purchase price or claim damages.
  • Under § 477 BGB, where a defect becomes apparent within one year of delivery, it is presumed that the goods were already defective at delivery, unless this presumption is incompatible with the nature of the goods or of the defect.

Any guarantee given by us or by a manufacturer is in addition to these statutory warranty rights and does not limit them.

10. Intellectual Property

The rights in the Website, the App and all content contained within them (including text, images, photographs, graphics, product descriptions, logos, design elements and software) are held by, or licensed to, Bonvale Group Pte Ltd and are used by Bonvale UK Limited under licence. This content is protected worldwide by the applicable intellectual property laws.

Bonvale™ is a trademark of Bonvale Group Pte Ltd. You may not use the Bonvale name, the logo or any confusingly similar mark without our express prior written consent.

You may access and view the content on our Website and App for your own personal, non-commercial use. Without our express written permission, you may not copy, reproduce, distribute, republish, transmit, scrape, data-mine or commercially exploit that content.

11. Use of Our Website

You undertake not to misuse or tamper with our Website or App, in particular not to introduce viruses, trojans or other harmful software, not to carry out denial-of-service attacks and not to attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems. You also undertake not to use automated systems or software to extract data from our Website.

All purchases must be for personal, non-commercial use. You may not resell or commercially exploit products purchased from Bonvale.

If we have reasonable grounds to believe that fraudulent, unlawful or abusive activity is taking place through your account, we may suspend or close it and refuse further orders.

12. Limitation of Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the Produkthaftungsgesetz (Product Liability Act), and where we have given a guarantee.

In cases of slight negligence, we are liable only for breach of a material contractual obligation, that is, an obligation whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on whose observance you may regularly rely. In such cases our liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical of the contract.

Any further liability is excluded. Liability which cannot be excluded or limited under German law remains unaffected by these terms. No provision of these terms is intended to cause an unreasonable disadvantage within the meaning of §§ 305 to 310 BGB.

We are not liable for failure or delay in performance caused by events outside our control, such as natural disasters, industrial action, government action or the failure of third-party services.

Your rights under Section 9 are not affected by this section.

13. Dispute Resolution

13.1 Prior Complaint

Before you initiate any formal proceedings, please give us the opportunity to resolve your complaint. Send us a written notice to contact@bonvale.com with the subject line "Formal Complaint". Please include: (a) your full name and account details; (b) a description of the issue and the resolution you are seeking; and (c) the relevant order numbers or transaction references.

We will acknowledge receipt within 5 business days and endeavour to resolve your complaint within 30 days of receipt.

This Section 13.1 does not require you to send us such a notice before exercising your statutory rights, and it does not limit your right to go to the courts or to a consumer arbitration body at any time.

13.2 Jurisdiction

As a consumer, you may bring proceedings against us in the German courts. We may bring proceedings against you only in the German courts. This follows from your protection under the European rules on jurisdiction in consumer contracts and is not affected by Section 14.

13.3 Consumer Arbitration

If a complaint cannot be resolved between us, you may turn to a recognised consumer arbitration body. We are not obliged to participate and will tell you in the individual case whether we will do so.

14. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

This choice of law may not have the result of depriving you of the protection afforded to you by provisions that cannot be derogated from by agreement under German law. As a consumer habitually resident in Germany, you retain the full benefit of the mandatory German consumer protection rules where they are more favourable to you than the chosen law.

15. Store Credit

From time to time we may issue store credit, for example as a refund option (where you choose store credit instead of a refund to your original payment method), as a goodwill gesture, or as part of a promotion.

Store credit is issued as a digital code or as a balance on your Bonvale account and is valid for 12 months from the date of issue. Any balance remaining after that will expire and can no longer be redeemed.

Unless we state otherwise:

  • Store credit may only be redeemed against the purchase of products on our Website or App. It cannot be paid out in cash, exchanged, or transferred to another person or account.
  • Store credit has no cash value and does not earn interest.
  • Store credit may be used across several orders; any unused balance remains until expiry.
  • If a product purchased with store credit is later returned, the amount will be credited back to your store credit balance, with the original expiry date preserved.
  • We may suspend or cancel store credit if we have reasonable grounds to believe that it has been obtained or used fraudulently or in breach of these terms.

Your statutory rights are not affected by this Section 15. Where you are entitled to a statutory reimbursement (for example following a withdrawal within the 14-day period or under the statutory warranty), it will be made in money using the same means of payment you used for the transaction, unless you expressly agree to store credit.

16. Promotional Codes

From time to time we may issue discount and promotional codes for use on our Website or App. The specific terms stated at the time of issue apply to them, such as expiry date, minimum order value, eligible products and use limits. In addition, the following applies unless we state otherwise:

  • Each code is redeemable once per customer.
  • Codes have no cash value, are non-transferable and cannot be paid out in cash.
  • Codes cannot be combined with other discount codes or offers.
  • Codes do not apply to store credit, shipping charges or items marked "non-returnable".
  • Codes must be entered at checkout; a code cannot be applied retroactively to an order that has already been placed.
  • We may withdraw, cancel or amend a code at any time, in particular where we have reasonable grounds to believe that it has been used fraudulently, copied or shared without authorisation.

If you return an item purchased using a discount code, the refund will be calculated on the basis of the discounted price you actually paid.

17. Privacy

The collection and use of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy for Germany, which is available on our Website. It forms part of these Terms and Conditions.

Our Privacy Policy explains the lawful bases on which we process your personal data and the rights you hold under the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and the Bundesdatenschutzgesetz (Federal Data Protection Act).

18. Amendments to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The current version will always be published on our Website together with the effective date. We will notify you of material changes by email or by a prominent notice on our Website before they take effect.

If you continue to use our Website or App after the changes take effect, this counts as your acceptance of the amended terms. If you do not agree to a change, you should stop using our Website and App.

Amendments to these terms do not affect orders you have already placed.

19. General

Entire agreement: These Terms and Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy and any product-specific terms, constitute the entire agreement between you and Bonvale in relation to your use of our Website and App and the purchase of our Products. Your rights under mandatory consumer law are not affected.

Severability: If any provision of these terms is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain unaffected. The invalid provision is replaced by the statutory rule.

No waiver: If we do not enforce a provision of these terms, this does not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce it later.

Assignment: We may assign our rights and obligations under these terms to a company within the Bonvale group or to a successor entity in a merger or acquisition. Any such assignment will not reduce your rights under these terms or under applicable consumer law. You may assign your rights and obligations only with our prior written consent.

Third-party rights: Except as expressly provided, no person other than you and Bonvale has any right to enforce any provision of these terms.

No partnership: These terms do not create any partnership, joint venture, employment or agency relationship between you and Bonvale.
